- Step 1. Choose your protein. Pick Chicken Inasal (Paa for thigh, Pecho for breast) or Pork BBQ. Paa is the most popular. It is juicier and more flavorful.
- Step 2. Say yes to Unli-Rice. For dine-in orders, ask for Unli-Rice. It costs a small add-on and means unlimited steamed rice for your entire meal.
- Step 3. Ask for chicken oil and toyomansi. Ask your server for mantika (chicken oil) and toyomansi (soy sauce with calamansi). Drizzle both over your rice before eating. This is the Mang Inasal experience.

Mang Inasal Restaurant Profile and History
Mang Inasal opened its first store in December 2003 at a Robinson’s Mall parking lot in Iloilo City, founded by Edgar “Injap” Sia II. The concept was bold and simple: serve authentic Filipino grilled chicken fast, affordably, and with unlimited rice. No fast-food chain had dared offer this before.
It worked instantly. Within three years, Mang Inasal had 30 stores. By 2009, they hit 100. In 2010, Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC) acquired a 70% stake, and by 2016 owned the brand entirely, paying close to P3 billion for it. The acquisition gave Mang Inasal the scale to expand aggressively. It opened its 500th store in 2018.
Today, Mang Inasal has over 570 branches nationwide, with 97% run as franchises across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
